After graduating from Stanford University with a degree in Sociology, I returned home to Las Vegas, Nevada, where I began a lifelong career in the hospitality and gaming industry at Mirage Resorts, Inc. I have spent over 20 years in Executive level management, including time spent as a Diversity Champion at MGM Resorts, where I gained valuable experience leading and coaching employees at all levels of management how to break through their mental barriers and find strength and confidence in their personal leadership skills to achieve their goals. Currently, as the Vice-President of Nevada Operations for Jacobs Entetainment, Inc., I have continued to motivate and inspire our management team and employees to reach their full potential.
I relied heavily on this experience when I made the commitment to beat obesity which I had been battling for years. This journey to overcome obesity led to my first published book,
Take Control of Your Body Before It Takes Control of You
50 Success Actions to a Healthy Body and Confident Mind.
This journey also led me to become a certified Personal Trainer and Health Coach from the American Council on Exercise (ACE). I also earned specialty designations as a behavior change specialist, senior fitness specialist, and fitness nutrition specialist from ACE. I earned a specialty designation of behavior change specialist from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

I was motivated by my mother's battle with obesity and her eventual passing, as well as my struggles with obesity, to write and publish my book Take Control of Your Body Before It Takes Control of You to motivate people to ignite the leader within themselves to Achieve a Healthy Body and Confident Mind.
In addition to becoming a certified Personal Trainer and Health Coach, I earned two Behavior Change Specialist Designations from the American Council on Exercise and the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
I speak to audiences on how to tap into their personal leadership skills and strengths, which they have RIGHT NOW, such as courage, confidence, and resilience, to make lifelong lifestyle behavior changes to TAKE CONTROL of their health.
