I was inspired to write my first book, Take Control of Your Body Before It Takes Control of You: 50 Success Actions To Achieve A Healthy Body and a Confident Mind because of the passing of my beautiful mother from complications due to obesity. I also suffered from obesity for many years and in the book I share my worst struggles mentally and physically with being obese before I started to beat it. I hope the book will motivate you to take control of your own life by taking control of your body.

To become more educated about improving the mental and physical health of people suffering from obesity, I became a certified Personal Trainer and Health Coach from the American Council on Exercise (ACE). I also earned specialty designations as a behavior change specialist, senior fitness specialist, and fitness nutrition specialist from ACE. I earned a specialty designation of behavior change specialist from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

I took my mental and physical fitness to the next level when I created The 432 Playbook which is a program that helps 50+ people tap into their personal strengths to change their lifestyle behavior so that they can permanently beat obesity and live a mentally and physically healthier life.
